    Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BLS required within 3 months of hire; BS in Nursing preferred. Previous psychiatric or geriatric experience preferred. 

    Education: NYS RN License


    Rome Memorial Hospital is currently seeking experienced RNs to join our Senior Behavioral Health team. 

    Full-time RNs with 2 or more years of psychiatric experience are eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus. The bonus is payable to new hires at:

    - $500 at hire
    - $1,000 at 6 months
    - $1,500 at 1 year
    - $2,000 at 2 years

    Rome Memorial Hospital’s 12-bed inpatient Senior Behavioral Health Unit provides individualized care for adults 55 and older who are suffering from acute symptoms associated with a major mental health illness, such as clinical depression, anxiety disorders or bi-polar illness.

    Staff nurse assesses, directs and coordinates patient care and procedures in an efficient, empathetic and timely manner appropriate to the age of patients served. The RN serves as patient advocate and health teacher.

    Qualified candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and possess a current New York Registered Nurse license.
