    Multiple agencies validate Rome Memorial Hospital’s commitment to the highest standards of quality.

    Rome Memorial Hospital is accredited by the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program, which is authorized by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to validate our compliance with federal standards.

    The Women's Imaging Center is a designated Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, earning the prestigious recognition from the American College of Radiology, the gold standard in imaging accreditation. The center is ACR accredited in 2D &3D mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound and breast MRI.

    Our general MRI, CT, vascular ultrasound, and nuclear medicine services have also achieved accreditation by the American College of Radiology.

    Our Breast Center is a certified participant in the National Quality Measures for Breast Centers Program, which recognizes facilities that are dedicated to high standards of excellence.

    Our Sleep Disorders Center achieved accreditation by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine in recognition of the center’s adherence to quality standards.

    Our efforts to protect patients from hospital-acquired infections have been recognized by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. Rome Memorial Hospital was the smallest of eight hospitals in the nation to be recognized as an “outstanding leader” in eliminating life-threatening blood stream infections. It’s an impressive record that we’ve maintained since December 2006.

    The hospital received the Excellus BlueCross/BlueShield Quality Leader Award for efforts in protecting patients from hospital acquired infections.

    Rome Memorial Hospital has one of the lowest surgical site infection ratio in the region.

    Our Maternity Department was recognized by the Excellus BlueCross/Blue Shield with the Blue Distinction+ for Maternity Care.

    The Maternity Department has reached patient satisfaction scores in the top ten percent in the nation for quality and compassionate care.

    The Maternity Department’s percentage of babies delivered by C-section is one of the lowest in the region.

    Recognized as a leader in senior services, the hospital has earned special designation as a NICHE (Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders) facility for providing exceptional care for older adult patients.

    The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program is certified by the American Association for Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.

    The Community Recovery Center is certified by the NY State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services, for its chemical dependency and outpatient services.
